Eileen Mathis Armstrong, age 92, widow of the late Claud "Cy" Armstrong, passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2017.

Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late Thomas William Mathis, Sr. and Mattie Hughes Smith Mathis. She was a member of Eastlan Baptist Church.

Mrs. Armstrong is survived by a sister, Mary Martha Szymborski of Kings Mountain, NC; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by two brothers, T.W. Mathis, Jr. and Sam Milton Mathis.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 16, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Woodlawn Funeral Home Chapel with burial to following Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Friday from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Woodlawn Funeral Home prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Eastlan Baptist Church, 625 Pleasantburg Drive, Greenville, SC 29607, or Greenville Humane Society, 305 Airport Road, Greenville, SC 29607.
